Gheorg and Gheorg-e are carefully designed to be lovable but non-addictive. Most children spend just 5 minutes a day doing the exercises which is long enough for kids to have the positive benefits and brain development.

About Anxiety and Mental Health
What treatment options are there for anxiety?
The Gheorg app doesn’t replace medical or psychological treatment. Gheorg’s founder is a psychologist and knows first hand that there can be long wait times and expensive appointments when trying to see a psychologist. Psychologists often prescribe calming apps to provide children with short term emotions management techniques. The Gheorg app offers both calming and educational content delivered in a way that children like, which provides long term benefits of positive brain changes for mental health. If your child has serious symptoms, we recommend first talking to your GP and then getting in touch with your friendly, neighbourhood psychologist for expert help tailored to them right away.
I need something to help me now. What other resources do you recommend?
If a child needs to speak to someone who could help them feel better, we recommend calling Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800.
If an adult would like to speak to someone, we recommend calling Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue on 1300 22 46 36.

Supporting Parents & Kids to have more HOPE
After speaking to countless parents about their kids mental health, and their own mental health as parents, Gheorg’s founder and psychologist of 30 years Dr Louise Metcalf wanted to do something more to support parents in these challenging times.
Gheorg was created to support kids with anxiety. And to be able to support kids with their mental wellbeing, parents need to be aware of their mental health too.
During the Hope Ninja Parents podcast, Dr Louise Metcalf speaks with Gheorg’s Schools Program Manager and Mindset Coach, Cynthia Painter, about the importance of mental health, how hope can be a key tool for positive mental wellbeing, and practical strategies parents can use to improve their family's mental wellbeing. Mental health is a big topic!
Each episode, we’ll be diving into a new topic around mental health and sharing ideas that can support parents and kids with their mental wellbeing.
